Parker VHE 12 Gauge serial number 240447 built on th rare 1/2 frame. This is a Remington era Parker produced around 1939. These 1/2 frame 12 gauges are rare and hard to find. Condition is very nice and this one is in the Parker Serialization book just as it is, a 26 inch ejector 12 with a capped pistol grip. Very pretty stock and forend, XX fancy stock typical of the Remington era. There is a faint crack on the left side only of the grip era that looks to have been professionally fixed and is nearly invisable. Original DOG"S HEAD butt plate in excellent condition. It is interesting to note tht the original butt plate and grip cap read Parker only and NOT Parker Bros. and were made at Remington and not left over Meriden parts. The 26 inch barrels are in great shape with nearly all of their original blue. Excelent bores and 2 3/4 inch chambers. The chokes are improved cylinder and modified. The ejectors are in time and work great. Excellent receiver screws are in tme. The receiver is mostly silver with only traces of case color. Length of pull is 14 inches. Drop at heel is 2 1/2 inches and drop at comb is 1 1 /2 inches. Weight is light especially for a 12 gauge at 6 pounds 11 ounces. This is a very cool and pretty Remington era Parker that is nearly impossible to find. There were only a few hundred half frame 12's ever made.
