This is the second of Two fine Winchester 1873 Full Fancy Deluxe rifles we currently have in stock.  Serial number of this one is 272055 made in 1890.  38-40 WCF Caliber.  Special order features include:  Checkered stock and pistol grip, Part Round Part Octagon barrel, 1/2 magazine Casehardened Frame, and caliber 38-40 WCF.  All Features are listed in the included Cody Museum Research Letter that's dated May of 1979.  This rifle is totally original and is out of the wood work.  There are traces of original case coloring remaining on the frame and hammer with an even aged grey .   There are No signficant rust or pits.  Excellent Caliber marking on the brass lifter, 38 Cal.  Nice original barrel blue thats faded somewhat but totally orginal.  The original open sights are present as well as a properly coded Lyman Tang sight.  The DELUXE Full Fancy Stock and fore end have great original checkering  and correct assembly numbers in the stock channel, tang and butt plate.   The bore is decent and certainly shootable but does have some dark spots and old corrosion with visible rifling.  We rate the bore a 5 out of 10.  All mechanics work as they should. This is really nice Original Antique Winchester 1873 Deluxe Special order rifle in totally untouched  condition.  It is almost 130 years old and still looks fantastic.  Antique Pre-1898 No FFL required.
