Offered is a Great original World War I Imperial German Red 9 Mauser Broomhandle.  This fine original and matching Red 9 Broomhandle was made circa. 1916 .  It is matching including the original Red 9 grips. The serial number is 28066.   Nearly all of the original Blue is present as well as most of the fire blue on the smallers parts.  We rate the original blue at 95%.  The bore is nice with strong rifling and good shine and rates an 8 out of 10.  There are no alterations or any type of modifications on this fine Red Nine.  The original holster stock is in great original condition with no repairs.  There is some light patina on the hinge and the attaching iron.  The stock is not number matching and is numbered 072 on the iron.  Also included is a fantastic original leather stock harness and cleaning rod.  The harness is maker marked Ernst Scheffler CHEMNITZ and dated 1917.  It is also WWI depot marked BAXII 17.  There are no no repairs or alteration on the harness and all the original stitching is tight.  This is a truly fantastic original Mauser Broomhandle Red 9 rig for the collector.
