Winchester Model 97 World War II production trench shotgun.  This is an original, as produced, Model 97 trench gun made circa. 1942. 20 inch barrel with factory Cylinder choke.  The serial number is 953639.  All features are correct for this serial range using US WINCHESTER TRENCH AND RIOT GUNS by Joe Poyer as a guide..  The stock is unsanded with a crisp GHD and cross cannon cartouche.  The receiver and barrel have most of their original blue with some spotty blue loss scattered on the receiver as shown in the photos.  The vent hand guard has four rows and is original and in great shape.  The receiver is marked US with a flaming bomb.  The barrel is also flaming bomb proofed next to the Winchester factory proof.  Included is a nice original Remington marked bayonet dated 1917 with its original scabbard.  This is a great chance to acquire an original WW2 97 trench shotgun that has some character.
