AH Fox Rare Late B Grade Double 12 Gauge excellent original.
$SOLD

Offered is a very pretty and rare high original condition AH Fox Shotgun.  It is a late B Grade 12 gauge shotgun with the deep relief Gough style of engraving. The serial number is 21509 made round 1914-1915 and it still features Krupp barrels made for Fox just before the supply of German barrels were dicontinued because of the outbreak of WWI.  Very few of these late style B's were ever produced and even fewer were produced as extractor guns such as this one. Condition is truly excellent and all original.  Nearly all of the original barrel blue remain and the bores are excellent.  Much of the original case color remains on the action and the deep engraving is still sharp.  The original stock and fore end have most of their original varnish with some minor wear from use over the yers.  Never re-oiled or refinished.  The mechanics are excellent and the shotgun is tight on face.  There is some very slight play on hinge.  This shotgun looks to have been fired very little and well cared for over the years and is perhaps the best condition ALL ORIGINAL late B grade that you are likely to find.  The dimensions are also fantastic; Length of pull is 14 inches over the original hard rubber butt plate.  Drop at heel is 2 1/2 inches and drop at comb is 1 1/2 inches.  Weight is light at 6 pounds 12 ounces.  28 inch barrels are choked modified and full and the chmbers are 2 1/2 inches.  If you only collect the best and original Fox graded shotguns, this one is for you.
