Parker DHE Skeet Two Barrel Set Voorhees
$SOLD

Offered is the last of the Parker Shotguns from the Voorhees collection.  Parker DHE 12 Gauge serial number 239504 made in the Remington era of Parker Shotguns in 1937.  The 26 inch barrels are marked skeet in and skeet out with nice bores and tight all around.  The added factory 32 inch barrels are marked full and full.  Both barrels have a later added Remington or Lefever vent ribs.  The 32 inch set has some light pitting on the exterior near the muzzle, a sightly loose top rib in its center, and some blue loss in a few other spots.  The 26 inch set is tight all around with nice bores.  Both barrel sets have the large reinforced lug for the factory Beaver Tail fore end.  Excellent factory straight grip stock that is number matching inside the lower tang and on the wood.   Sharp original checkering.  Length of pull is 14 inches from the front trigger over a Delgrego & Son Marked vintage pad.  The Parker research letter lists a single trigger so we assume the double triggers were added at some time. Nice Remington Era case color.  There are a few action screws that are not timed and one screw is missing at the rear of the trigger plate.  Mechanically it is tight with strong ejectors.  The safety has been disconnected internally.  Dimensions are drop at heel 2 1/4 inches.  Drop at comb 1 3/4 inches.   This Remington Era Parker is a Hot Rod made for some serious competition shooting back in the day.  We have a copy of one receipt from Delgrego & Son to Michael Voorhees listing this shotgun by serial number.
