Offered is a very nice vintage AH Fox AE Grade 12 Gauge double barrel shotgun.  The serial number is 29119 and the year of manufacture is early 1924.  This fine Fox AE grade is in excellent original condition especially for being almost 100 years old.  The later Gough style A grade engraving is nice and sharp  with some traces of original case coloring here and there.  The barrel blue is original with around 90% remaining.  The original trigger guard blue is also very nice at 90%.  The ribs are tight and the bores are shiny but have some light pitting in a few areas but nothing major.  This shotgun locks up tight and the and is on face.  There is a little play when the shotgun is open on hinge.  The ejectors are in need of some slight adjustment as the right barrel will activate both ejectors.  The original stock and fore end are in great shape with some very pretty wood.  There are no cracks or repairs to the wood and the original Fox hard rubber butt plate is in great shape.  The dimensions are as follows: The barrels are 26 inches and are choked Mod. and full.  The chambers are 2 9/16 inches.  Length of pull is 14 inches from the front trigger over the original butt plate.  Drop at heel is 3 inches and drop at comb is 1 5/8 inches.  Weight is 6 pounds 13 ounces.  This is a fine AH Fox AE 12 gauge in very nice original, as found condition.
